Pröviously we kept the material in some bad and erowded quarters, but there they were accessible in a kind of way. The new and very comfortable rooms provided for us were contracted to be put at our disposeal the I st of this month. However, already eserly ån June I could see that the work would be much delayed, At the time when your letter arrived, all our things were packed down for removal to the new house, and, considering that I had to leave for Peking in the midst of August, it was very doubtful whether any material would be accessible at the time of your intended visit, We have still painters and other workmen in the house, but have been able to make some progress, and yesterday I actually began arranging some of the prehistorie urns, Today I feel in the position to promise you that some considerable part of the ceramics will be accessible for inspection when I leave Stockholm and I ask you kindly to address eventual further communications to my assistant Dr Nils Palmgren, Ostasiatiska Samlingarna,
