Good afternoon,
I am a postgraduate student and researcher with the University of Manchester, England. My current research is on Predynastic and Early Dynastic Egyptian flint figures, specifically animal representations. I am intending to publish a catalogued corpus of these objects as to make them accessible for further research and study.
While looking through your collection I identified four fantastic examples of bird flints (MM10477; MM10471; MM10476; MME1969:718)
I have also been able to identify five further objects which are of great interest to my research:

https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-mhm/web/object/3015344
https://collections.smvk.se/carlotta-mhm/web/object/3015308
These were all donated by Major R.G.Gayer-Anderson along with two of the avian form flints.
I believe that these first three objects represent crocodiles or reptiles, and I have so far been able to collect 13 other examples of this. The latter two, especially the last, may be abstract representations of this also.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to search your collection to the extent which I wish to, so I would like to kindly request your help. Would you be able to assist me in checking your collection for further objects which are in these forms? A focus on the donations of Gayer-Anderson may be needed, as it seems he definitely had an preference for this type of object! I am more than happy to send you some examples of differing animal forms if this would be of assistance to you.
With many kind regards,
Jenna Hiscock
