Denna omålade "modell" av totempåle karvades av Henry Robertson, Haisla First Nation of Kitamaat, som ledde arbetet med den nya totempålen (som vid denna dokumentation fortfarande står utanför museet), gjord efter den totempåle som restes på 1870-talet i Kitlope-dalen och som 2006 återfördes till Haisla First Nation of Kitamaat, Kanada (se bl.a. museets antologi Med Världen i Kappsäcken, 2002). Henry Robertson menade att samlingens lilla totempåple kan ställas ut i museet men då på ett diskret sätt. Museets har ett antal totempåle-modeller från Nordvästkusten, några utställda i Nordvästkustsektionen i Nordamerika-utställningen, öppnad 2008. Totempåle-modeller har utgjort samlarobjekt, ända sedan 1820-talet med de totempåle- och rökpipmodeller i svart skiffer, argellit, somhaidaindianerna, Nordvästkusten, då började tillverkas för avsalu. This small unpainted "model" of a totempole was carved by Henry Robertson, Haisla First Nation of Kitamaat, Canada. Henry Robertson was the master carver of the new totempole (at the time of this documentation still standing outside the museum), made after the totempole that was raised in the Kitlope Valley in 1870s and that was returned to Haisla First Nation of Kitamaat (se e.g. the museum´s anthology med Världen i Kappsäcken, 2002; Ethnos 1936). Henry Robertson said that this small totempole could be displayed in the museum but only in a discrete way. The museum has a number of totempole models from the Northwest Coast, some on display in the Northwest Coast section in the North America exhibition, opened 2008. Such totempole models are collector´s items, ever since the 1820s when the Haida made totempole models and pipe models in black argellite, aimed for an outside collector´s market. (SB, 2010-02-17).
