Kanotmodell. Gjord i tvenne delar. Toftpinnarha ligga ovanpå relingen, tillbundna i. urtagningar i denna.
Åran a) 31,5 cm. Åran b) 28,2 cm. Åran c) 28 cm

Canoe model. Type and fittings exactly as the previous no. 292, i.e.: Canoe model. Made in two parts. At the bottom the hull section itself. Above that, tied, a large section, which arched covers the bow and stern, much like a kayak, and in the middle forms a long high railing. In the binding knots sit shells like a kind of block. They sit particularly close around the bow, which looks like a fish tail. The toft pins lie on top of the railing, tied in. recesses in it. On top of and along the railing are tied two rods. In front, on the foremost toft, is tied the mast ring of fiber yarn. A piece in front of this is tied a "game" of brown wood on two feet. It has a wide gutter in the middle. Possibly intended to be used when folding the mast. The upper railing is finished fore and aft with wide boards. (On a canoe, Edge Partington; New Caledonia, such go out horizontally along the entire railing). The outrigger bridge has fairly closely spaced floor pegs. At the outermost are tied pegs, then three bars go out to the outrigger, which is painted red, like the outside of the boat.
Exception: The "spiel", in front of the mast, has only two legs. Its channel is not as wide as in the previous no. 292. Only one peg remains on the outrigger deck. Painted red also on the inside. Inside are three oars with unpainted handles, while the oars are otherwise painted red. They are of the same main type as previously in the collection from the Ellice Islands, Samoa and Fiji.
