0270 ”ÖSTASIATISKA SAMLINGARNA : SVEAVÄGEN 85 » STOCKHOLM April the 22nd 1931. To Mr. S. Yamanaka, Head of Yamanaka & Company, Kyoto, Japan. Dear Mr. Yamenaka, During your visit to Stockholm you kindly mentioned that there may be certain possibilities of getting the large Japanese private collections opened to visitors during a certain limited period of the year, possibly most easily in the spring. It goes without saying that all archaeologists and art-students in Europe as well as in America who are interested in the Far East will profit very considerebly from such &n arrangement. For my personal part I höpe to be able to visit Japan in a near future and would appreciate immensely when given an oppertunity to see the magnificent colleetloma in the hands of your private collectors. We will certainly all be deeply indebted to you for any arrange- oment that you are able to make in order the said collections available tö students. With kindest regeråds, very sincerely yours
