Dear Dr. Andersson:- Your letter of the 16 Jan, and of the l3th Feb. together with the letter from the Swedish Committee as well as your memorandum were received sometime ago. I have not answered before this because I have been waiting for Odhner's paper on the Kwangsi Mollusces in order to show you what we can do in the way of plates. The said paper is now ready and is being sent to you under separate cover. I think the heliotype ös not bad, It represents the best we can do here, ' First of all I want to express to you our deep satisfaction with the friendly way your Committee has settled the whole question. I sincerely hope that hencecfoZlthe whole arrange- ment will work out without friction, Secondly let us get busy and start printing again. Please show Odhner's paper to Prof. Wiman, If he is satisfied, I propose that we begin at once to print Dr. Percy Lowe's "Struthious Remains from China", By the way I want to cut off the words "and Mongolia" from his title as we still consider Mongolia apart of China, I think if the manuscript is well-ty and Sö mor8e change in the course of printing, we can guarantee that there will be with- out any mistake, for I have concluded an agreement with an ex-proof- resder of the "Peking Leader" to read all our finaltproofs for us by paying him 5474 for his trouble. On his part he undertakes to reprint at his cost any page that contains mistakes due to his carelessness, Why not let us try it and see how it works? Thirdly about Prof. Wiman. I was rather högified that you had shown Prof. Wiman my private letter and needless to say that I am more than gratified to hear that he did not take any offence. Of course we can change the title of our volume - that is no serious drawback if only he will hencecforth let us know in good time his in- tention with regard to any particular volume, for we do not wart to change the title of any volume more than once. With regard to the type specimens Dr. Wong has written to him a separate letter with full details which I encelose herewith. You will see that Dr. Wong proposes to send him also our duplicatesa I hope Prof. Wiman will not consider our request unreasonable. Fourthly I should like to know a litile more about your own monographs, TI understand that you would like to have at least the text printed here, As the two first ones are nearly ready and scheduled on this year's program, am I to assume that you expect

As you know we are willing to have the plates made in Europe if you consider the work done here unsatisfactory, but in that case you better get quotations as soon as possible and try to have the plates ready before you come out. I am personally especially anxious to know something about the stone implezents of the Yangshao stage. I can find no reference in your own published paper, nor any duplicate specimens in our museum, I shall be much obliged if you can send me a few photographs of the polished implements from the type locality in Honan. As you know I am busily writing book on Chinese history - it must be ready before the 37 Dec. 1931 so I have not very much time and shall be extremely grateful for any hoelp you can give me. I think that I have fully ex- plained to you my requirements in a previous letter. I also told Mr, Karlbeck what I wanted just before he left for Sweden. Lastly I must tell you that all your friends out here are much worried about your health. when they failed to hear from you before they suspected that it must have been due to your health. Your:recent letters have cheered them up con- siderably, but they are all deeply concerned to hear that you have been ill again. My dear Dr. Andersson, do take care of yourselves. It is no use to overwork or to over-worry. I can- not help thinking that a trip to Peking in the near future may not be a bad thing, If there is say such likelihood, please let me know. : with best regards and hope to hear from you again very soon.
