The result of their work on this pot-sherd was a discovery of sweeping significance, As you will see from their paper, they have proved the presence of rice in the Yang-Shao culture. Dr. Odhner has been — for a long time very busy when competing for the curatorship in the Natural History fuseum, department of invertebrate Zoology, which he failed to obtain, Now finally be has completed the report of the South- China mollusecs, and I am very happy to forward the seme to you. ZXindly inform Dr. Ting about the arrival of this report. I think it more safe to send it under your saddäress as Dr. Ting mey be away travelling in the South. Today we also send a post-percel contalning the mollusc-spe- eimens; they are also addressed to you and I ask you kindly to inform Dr. Ting about the arrival.
