I am glad to know that your Institute is now financial- ly up and that you are now returned to the scientific work. Previous to the receipt of your letter I have lr. Lagrelius letter of April 18 with a blll of $2003 gold and asking for a telegraphic reply. I wired him after telling the matter to Dr. Ting: Will pay bill. Ask Dr. Mmdersson send arti- facts. I am glad to know now that the second return consignement is fortheoming. I shall bo glad also to receive palaeontological specimens from Dras. Wiman and Halle. I saw yesterday in the University of Peking some aeneolithique potteries presented by Japanese from Pi Tzu Wo east of Dairen which are of very similar type as the Kansu speci- mens. They are also very complete. They found there also some thr ee-l1egged fots. Dr. Heanley of liongkong sent me a small Gollec- tions of stone dises and fragment ary potteries. mårewåtk party is again off to longolla. These are some news which may interest you. I see that you are now especially busy with potteries.
