The” highly interesting point in it is, in my opinion, that we find scale bands on it, not scales we are accustomed to see in so many Yin or Yin-Chou pie- ces. pr re, Is it Nine that this detail is the prototype of the scale bands in Middle Chou bronzes ? Do you know more early pieces —- bronzes before the Middle Chou style > that have bands of scales, though not exactly the same scales as in Middle Chou.
