The inseription reads : Mrs. Wang, of Mi Fang, was born between 3 and 5 ps the 14th day of the 9th month of the eyclical year "keng of the Wan Li period of the Ming Dynasty (30th October 1610). She died on the 20th day of the 2nd month of the Cyclical year "jen yin" of the K'ang Hsi period of the Ching Dynasty (Sth April, 1662). This water.dish was placed within the tomb of my deceased sife, Mrs. Wang, née Chou of Nan Yilan.
