pf i: ÖSTASIATISKA SAMLINGARNA dål6, Stockholm the 28th of August 1935. SVEAVÄGEN 65 » STOCKHOLM Professor W. P. Yetts, 4, Aubrey Road, 3 Campden Hill, | FER a SP To RR Sä ta Dear Professor Yetts. I have been asked by Mr. Hellström tohavea photograph taken of the bell belonging to H. R. H. the Crown Prince and I herewith have the pleasure to send you a copy of the same. I think it is needless to call your attention to the fact that KlUmmel in "Chinesische Kunst" XII has given a picture of thig bell. Within a few days Karlbeck will send you a copy of that part of his manuscrtipt which deals with the technique of casting. He has arrived at the conclusion that a process of direct casting was used, not "cire perdu" process as eartlier suggested. We will be very glad to have your opinion on that point. If there is a difference of opin- ion I think it more pleasant to try to make the points clear by corres- pondence consequently| I will be very glad to have your opinion given I to Karlbeck ort to me. Very sincerely yours
