Cast. Long plain narrow shaft, flanged at top and bottom. Blade upper edge level with shaft top, is cut away on the lower edge and expands into a broad, slightly convex cutting edge. Decor: geometric animal (lion?) mask design in low relief on top edge.

Lion mask on MMLur in curvilinear style of 8-7 cent BC, see 318-21 if ancient and not modern, could represent a subsequent dedication of an axe which was already an antiquity to the deity this lion mask represents.
