Cast. Axe-head with spiked butt. Cylindrical shaft with four double ribs terminating at the back in long pointed spikes joined by vertical ridge. Blade springs from the three top ridges sloping down to a convex cutting edge, with rounded bottom edge and blade swinging down. Both upper and lower edges are strengthened by a thickening, and the upper two shaft ridges extend onto the neck of the blade...

Cast. Axe-head with spiked butt. Cylindrical shaft with four double ribs terminating at the back in long pointed spikes joined by vertical ridge. Blade springs from the three top ridges sloping down to a convex cutting edge, with rounded bottom edge and blade swinging down. Both upper and lower edges are strengthened by a thickening, and the upper two shaft ridges extend onto the neck of the blade. Decor: bands of incised zigzag bands and herringbone patterns alternating on neck. Striations on ridges from shaft. Upper edge of blade incised with alternating cross hatched and incised bands of X's half way to point.
