Cast and hammered. Rim-flanged constricted grip and square guard hilt, h-shaped cross section with bracket sides. I call this hilt form CSQ. Blade shape is triangular with an elongated lozenge section and a midrib that looks like a long V on the blade face. The blade ends in a sharp point. Decor: a relief band divided into two panels with incised zigzag lines runs along the outside edge of the hilt. On the pommel these turn into four straight hatched bands.

Blade with slightly profilated mid-bar and double edge. The handle narrows at the middle and has a framework for inserted material (bone?) at both sides. The framework contains on each side two semicircular plates opposite eachother. The finial of the handle has s small, drilled hole. (description from Greek-Rome)

Purchased by envoyé Einer Ekstrand in the 1920's in Ur. Given to kommadörkapten Bertil Solberg. Presented by Mrs Bitten Solberg, Farsta according to her deceased husband's wishes.
