  • Flaring sides, flattened rim, low unglazed footring. On opaque white (tin) glaze, in the center an inscription (malaklahu) in cobalt blue, green glaze“splashed” from the rim towards the center of the bowl.

  • Gift to the NM from KF through NMV. Purchased by the Crown Prince of Sweden in Cairo december 1934 from Achèroff, price 1203 kr. Registered the 12/7/1935.

  • Inscription repeats twice, either Maliku hu or Malik lahu both meaning his property. The Bowl in Fehervari 1973 nr. 12 wears a very similar inscription said ther to represent “baraka”, “blessing”.
