  • Three arms of the cross have the same lenght. The fourth is a little bit longer. All of them are pointed inwards. There is a hoop fastened to the upper arm. On one surface the arms are decorated with engraved palmettes. At the junction of the arms, there is a cabochon stone, possibly a ruby in a gold box-setting.   • This piece was a pendant to be worn on a chain. Some parallels with a similar palmette decoration or the same light-life inscription point to a date in the 5th-6th centuries A.D.

  • Well preserved. The ruby is possibly a modern replacement.
