Strigilar sarcophagus. In center of front side, flanked by strigilar decoration, is a tondo bust of an elderly man draped in toga, grasping a fold with his right hand. Below the tondo is a seated couple (probably a philosopher and a Muse) depicted. The curved ends are decorated with lion-and hunter (or trainer) scenes of unharnessed lions pouncing on boars. White marble.
