Description <itemDescription>
  • Moulded male head; oval face; round eyes; rather small ears and mouth; rounded chin; wavy hair, combed downwards; small curls below both ears; the back side is unworked and taller than the front side, forming a ridge at the junction between front and back. Pinkish to pale brown clay; faint traces of red paint on hair and face.

  • Purchased in 1958 from G. De Parri (the landowner of the excavated area) by the intermediary of the Swedish Institute at Rome and with a grant from King Gustaf VI Adolf.
Condition <itemDescription>
  • Nose missing. Base mended (patches of glue). Large piece missing from front side of base. Root marks. Paint almost entirely gone.
