Statuette depicting the goddess Isis in the shape of Aphrodite. As is usual with representations of the love goddess she is naked, save for a belt hung over her right shoulder and running diagionally across her body. She wears bracelets on each wrist as well as one on the right ankle and one on her left upper arm. She wears a necklace, partly obscured by her long, thick braids. Her headpiece is likely the bottom part of an elaborate kalathos, the crown of Egyptian Graeco-Roman divinities, reminiscent of a polos. As Isis-Aphrodite she (Isis) emphasizes the aspects of fertility, marriage and childbirth. This particular syncretistic form was popular from the early Hellenistic period to well into the Roman period.

Compare this object to accession number 1991.76 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Note the identically placed accessories (belt, bracelets, necklace) as well as the elaborate kalathos. Where the kalathos meets the head of the Met piece, there is a garland-like application, much like the one on MME 1977:013. This suggests the original existence of a kalathos.
