On a short ground line is a half-kneeling, human figure, with the head turned up and back, facing left. He is clean-shaven, has hair marked by ridges, and is wearing a belted kilt. He has one arm raised, trying to ward off an attack of two heraldically positioned monsters, a dragon with scaled body, facing left, and a winged Griffin, facing right. In the scene are also the double feline mace with "notched" pole, a dwarf, a goat fish, and a ball-and-staff symbol with accompanying "pot" above. Opaque, black stone.

Three impressions. Two impressions are in storage. H. Merrillees catalogue 1995:IV.10. According to H. Merrillees, the scene is probably an allegorical contest of the human victim overwhelmed by drought and disease. Its depiction on this type of object is probably meant as a prophylactic against these calamities. Fotograferas om!
