Denna samling kompletterar museets omfattande bestånd av vävnader från navajo (diné) i USA´s sydvästområde. Några vävnader är utställda i sydvästsektionen i museets Nordamerika-utställning, öppnad i oktober 2008. I museets bibliotek finns ett flertal publikationener om navajos vävnader; se bl.a.: C.A. Amsden, Navaho weaving (1934); M. Hunt Kahlenberg and A. Blunt, The Navajo Blanket (1972); F. McNitt, The Indian Traders (1962); G. Wharton James, Indian Blankets and Their Makers (1914). This collection is an addition to the museum´s quite substantial amount of Navajo blankets of the Southwest culture area of North America. Some blankets are on display in the Southwest section of the North America exhibition, opened October 2008. The museum library keeps a number of publications about Navajo weavings; see e.g.: C.A. Amsden, Navaho weaving (1934); M. Hunt Kahlenberg and A. Blunt, The Navajo Blanket (1972); F. McNitt, The Indian Traders (1962); G. Wharton James, Indian Blankets and Their Makers (1914).
