Ö5e/b 0 - your excellent collections, I have also mentioned vour intention to several other of our collectors, such as Mr, Hellström, and we all feel deeple indebted to you for this excellent suggestion, However, already of the arrival of your letter in the early part of June it was perfectly clear to the Crown-Prince and to me tnat it would be to late to arrange such an exhibition in the Spring. Tne beginning of June, the time suggested by vou, is entirely un- ba suitable because no Swedes ere available in the summer when Stockhtiolm 18 perckically a deserted city. From these considerations the Crown- Prince as well as our Nuseum want to advise you tomeome in the Sö £utumn, preferable in the early part of October, Our friendeg are thån back in the city, presumable in high spirits after a good summer$8s rest, There are two further considerations in favour of selecting £utumn for your exhibition, We will count it a great favour to PRESES exhibition within the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities. We have very good acecomodation for this vpurpöse in a new room whieh was not ready at the time of your visit höre. Mr. Bluett of London 2 had an exhibit in this room by the end of last year, and the Swedish collectors and eonnaisseurs are quite accoustomed to come to us for such purposes, But at present we have in this room a temporary exhibit of Kr. Karlbeck”s recent acquisitions, the whole of which will be evacuated in the course of this month. I will specially se to that the room will be at vour disposal in October if you kind find it convenient to come at that time. Furthermore, there "18 another consideration, The present general industrial ordäis has affected our rieh people, not as hard as in certain other countries, but sufficiently to be felt when it comes to the question of buying art objects, Let us hope that this

The lith of June 1931. ur, OT. LO0O, 48, Rue de Courcelles, Par i 8, Dear kr. Loo, I have to apologize for not having replied much earlier to your kind note of April Sth. I have been in poor health all since Christmas and that has caused much delay and irregularity in my correspondence. Furthermore, I have failed to send you my sincere thanks for the two packages of execeellent Chinese tea, which you so very kindly send to me as a Christmas present. Because of my illhealth, all my correspondenee has been so deranged that I failed to send you my thanks for this excellent gift. I gave one of the packages to Dr. Palmgren, my collaborator in the Museum, and we have both enjoyed immenseély this exeellent tea. Please accept dear Mr. Loo my much belated but most hearty thanks. Now to the question of vour intended visit here. Immediately after the receipt of your letter I spoke to H.R.H. the Crown-Prince and we were instantly in complete accord as to your kind suggestion of coming here for the purpose of exhibiting a selection out of O581a
