070 Stockholm, January 27th 1948. Professor Serge Elissbeff, Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass. Dear Professor Elisséeff, Thank you so much for your letter. I write today to Professor Cheng in order to say that unfortunately it is too late now to arrange any- thing for this spring since all the sockbtsos in Stockholm have their lecture schemes fixed, but that 18'he stays on in Europe until October I should be glad to try to arrange some thång suitable in Stockholm then. Of course, we should be more than glad to hear his experiences end to show him our collections. We had Professor Ch'en Meng-chia here for a weåk in September and he showed me his big manuscript on bronzes which I think is far superior to Yung Keng's book. I am not going to Paris this summer because I expect to go to U.S.A. I shall leave Gothenburg on May the 8th and be in New York 10 days later. I sincerely hope that you have not left for Europe at that time for one of my FLN AN 1s to go to Harvard and acquaint myself with sinological conditions there. With kind regards, Yours sincerely
