orsa Stockholm the 5th of May 1936. Dr. J. van der Hoop, Koninklijk Bataviaasch Genfootschap van Kuneten en Wetenschappen, Koningsplein West 12, Batavia, Java N. 1. Dear Dr. van der Hoop, I have to acknowledge with sincere thanks your kind letter of May 2nd last year. The reason for my long delay in arranging the buying of the urns desired by Dr. van Stein Callenfels has been caused by the fact that it has been difficult to-get really good specimens. The mate- rial brought to Paris by the Wannieck firm was seriously depleted by the fact that the French museums had taken the best specimens, Consequently I have been waiting for a favourable opportuhify to get at 'av cheap price really first class specimens for you. This opportunity has now arrived. As you see from tha anclosed receipt I have been able to buy at the price of Swedish Crowns 500:16 from a consignment of Kansu urns recently arrived to Ur. KXarlbeck, five very good specimens. Furthermore we have from our own material been able to select for you a Li-tripod and a Li-Ting-tripod, which ras for been restored by our technician Vr. Gustafeson at a coat of SR Or. 150:-.
