Cleaning and conservation report. D-nr 16455013, 950108. General condition: dirty with dust, sand, clay and calcareous deposits from soil. Surface corrosion is rather even; original surface layer is largely present on both inside and outside of the object, it is smooth, almost polished, thin, either medium dark green or brown. This layer is partially covered with grey/green grainy corrosion on the outside of the mug, and bright green, dense, very distinct layer on the inside surface. Walls and bottom of the mug are spotted with active corrosion warts, filled with light green/blue powder. In several places thin walls are corroded through, leaving small holes. Treatment: cleaned mechanically with scalpel, small soft rotating bristle and steel brushes, under magnification. Fatty spots are removed with acetone. Consolidate coating of 10% Paraloid B 72 in ethanol is applied on object's surface.
