Cleaning and conservation report. D-nr 16455013, 950108. Condition: nearly all surface is covered with extremely hard, cement-like calcareous deposits. Underneath there is an evenly dark green, smooth corrosion layer, spotted with many tiny active corrosion warts. Conservation treatment: cleaned mechanically with scalpel, small soft rotating bristle and steel brushes, under magnification. Active corrosion stabilised in 3 % benzotriazole solution in ethanol for 48 hours. Rinsed in 95 % ethanol, dried. Protective coating of 10 % Paraloid B 72 in ethanol is applied.
