Straight vertical rim; double horizontal loop handles; deep rounded body; high flaring foot. Decoration (in red/reddish-brown paint): broad vertical strokes on rim; handles painted; a wavy line above handles and groups of six thin vertical lines on either side of the handles; in-between these vertical lines on the shoulder area there is on either side of the vase a decorated panel: on the one side stand two birds with long thin necks and beaks facing each other, their bodies filled with vertical lines; between the birds a large diamond with double contour and another diamond inside it; filling ornaments in the shape of cross-hatched triangles; on the opposite panel stand two horses, one grazing and the other standing with its head turned backwards; above the horses are five pendant cross-hatched triangles and one more under the belly of the standing horse; one vertical band of chevrons; on the lower half of the body are horizontal lines below which is a solid red area; on the foot alternating groups of three horizontal lines and rows of blobs; interior painted light red. Buff clay.
