Description <itemDescription>
  • Moulded male profile (right side of head); oval face; almond-shaped eye; small mouth; wavy hair, combed downwards with a curl in front of the ear; the unworked back part of the head is smoothed and taller than the front, forming a ridge at the junction between back and front; the back side is unworked. Pale brown to yellowish buff clay; traces of red paint on face and neck.

  • Purchased in 1958 from G. De Parri (the landowner of the excavated area) by the intermediary of the Swedish Institute at Rome and with a grant from King Gustaf VI Adolf.
Condition <itemDescription>
  • Top of head and nose missing. Cracked at several places. Chipped above chin. Base broken off. Much paint gone.
