Instrumentala för samlingen var Helga Larsen och Bodil Christensen, bägge ursprungligen från Danmark, verksamma i Mexiko, välkända bland amerikanister- mexikaniste- mesoamerikanister, publicerade artiklar i Etnografiska museets tidskrift Ethnos, samt etnografen Gösta Montell och Teotihuacan-arkeologen Sigvald Linné, bägge verksamma på Etnografiska museet. Indeed, a great, and not the least well documented, ethnographical collection from Mexico, collected during the Swedish Mexico Expedition, sent out by the Museum of Ethnography in 1934-35. Important for this collection are Helga Larsen and Bodil Christensen (both originally from Denmark, well known among Americanists / Mesoaemricanists, and published articles in the Museum of Ethnography journal Ethnos), ethnographer Gösta Montell and Teotihuacan-archaologist Sigvald Linné, both from Museum of Ethnography.
