Bilden ingår i samling 0321.c. Men bilden skickades även med mail till Etnografiska museet 2012-04-25 från Jonathan C. Lainey. Han skrev: "I just found the wonderful costume that Folke Cronholm received in 1905 when he was made honorary chief of the Huron-wendat nation of Lorette (Wendake).
Notice that the “S” in the names, should be read “8” instead. You pronounce it as a “w” (=Tsawenhohi, etc.)
I am from that community, and I made a lot of research on the Huron nation. The Wendake archives have accumulated quite a lot of information now. And we have a lot of information on that event that took place in December 1905. (newspapers clippings, correspondence, etc.) If you would like to have more sources that would document the objects you have, just let me know and I will do my best to gather them all. For example, attached is a picture of Cronholm wearing the costume in 1905. (click to enlarge)
