The current season for exploration is drawing to a close and while much of great interest has been discovered, especially in the field of polychrome pottery, only the foilowing note of interest relative to my account on humpbacks is important: Approximately 100 more pieces of pottery from the Provibte of Veraguas have been acquired by local collectors and 40 more from Cocle. From all other provinces, another 100 could be added to the total. Of this number, approximately 10 effigy pieces were found in Veraguas of which an actual count of four excellent humpback figures was made. One effigy human figure was excavated in Cocle but it was not a humpback. No other humpbacks were seen. , Of the four humpbacks found, two were acquired by friends of mine who are collectors and 1 have the other two. I am sending to your museum a Veraguas humpback, in very fine condition, with but minor dimage. I am also sending you same celts and points. Those which are not labeled are all from Veraguas in the area encompased between Sona and Santiago. I hopa they interest you. The steamåhip agents who are going to take the package to Stieden have still not pickekit up but have advised me that they Will do so this week. I hope it gets to you safely.
