Solaris Urbino 12 electric (inside)

Solaris Urbino 12 electric bus riding from Pyynikki Square to Central Square in Tampere. Urbinos are manufactured by Solaris Bus & Coach in Bolechowo-Osiedle near Poznań since 2013. The new generation has been in production since 2015, and, in 2016, it was awarded the title of Bus of the Year 2017.

Tampere Region Transport (TKL / Nysse) is the only company which is using Urbinos in Finland currently. There are four vehicles and they have been in use since 2016 for the line 2 (Pyynikintori - Rauhaniemi).

In the recording the bus has just left it's charging station at Pyynikki Square and drives to Pirkankatu. When it stops in the traffic lights the drivers radio can be heard (the bus is really silent when it is not running). The bus is going through the tramway construction works and the cobbled stone covered Hämeenkatu, which makes some extra sounds not normally heard in other surroundings.
