Stockholm, April 13, 1939. Howard Hollis Esq., Curator of the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland, Ohio. U.S.A. Dear Mr. Hollis, I beg to offer you my hearty thanks for your gift of photographs; they will form a highly valuable addition to our research archieves, I congratulate you to the possession of these fine specimens, Your datings are certainly quite correct. The inscrinption on the big Tsun says very little. It runs: Tso fu mou pao tsun 1 "I have made this precious vessel for father Mou". The inscription on the small chi (2572:18) 18 in my opinion rather suspect - I would not be astonished if it were spurious. I wish to thank you also for the backnumbers of your Bulletin. May I suggest that we consider that from this moment you owe us nothing. and that in future we send you our Bulletin and you send us yours, on the basis of a free exchange without any charge in either direction. With renewed thanks. Yours very sincerely 058,
