...i sent you a box containing some general algonkin material, some of the fine native...baskets to illuminate the culture of the South-East, the last Delaware specimens I could find in Canada, and a lot of prints of Indian types and characteristic scenes. I enclose the catalogue and bills for these. I could not get at my Delaware negatives...but will do this soon. I have two canoues for you: one a fine birch bark, is already at Philadelphia, the other a "dug-out" is on its way ...These are two of the main types used in the East and North...I do not know which canoes Mr. Heye is going to keep for the museum and which will go to you. There are two of each kind...he said that he had many duplicates which he could sell you - probably...you can deal with Mr Heye direct. Within a few weeks I will be able to get you a lot of Cheyenne, Comanche and Kiowa stuff, I hope.
