I • haven't time to go down myself, as I have a sick partner to take care of, just a neighbour. • The box •contains one fire ör paint bowl, Pound below a cave in bank, has probably been in a grave, one stone axe, one pestle, has been broken lut-used again,ono box of broken and poor made arrow 'and spear heads Pound at bed rock, so the old est made on the Columbia river, one box of gond made arrow and spears, bird and war points, one polished piece of agatized wood, you can keep for yourself, and some Smaller pieces of opalized vood, wish I couldisend you a section of those giant.trees we have here. If I was not so far from Portland I might do better and sond oftener, ene thing or another. I am 200 miles up the river so tant keep track of the boats except by the news in the parers.
