  • Moulded male head; squarish face; the fringe is parted at the middle; straight nose; small ears and mouth; squarish chin; the unworked back part of the head is smoothed and taller than the front, forming a ridge at the junction between back and front. Brick clay; pinkish buff slip; traces of red paint on face and neck; traces of black paint on hair.

  • Purchased in 1958 from G. De Parri (the landowner of the excavated area) by the intermediary of the Swedish Institute at Rome and with a grant from King Gustaf VI Adolf.
Condition <itemDescription>
  • Large part of base and neck missing. Large hole in crown and a smaller one in right eye. Nose and ridge chipped. Worn mould.
