oi48a oth Oct. 1936 Court Leys, Toot Baldon, Oxford. Dear Professor Karlgren, I sm sorry to have been go long in answering your letter as to the number of plates, etc., required for the paper that Beck & I are contributing to the Bulletin of the Zaet åsistic Nuseum. In one reepect the paper may be rather ehorter than we had thought, ag some of the chemical aspects of the matter are being treated by Dr. Ritchie in a chemical & technicsl journal in America. After cornsultstion with Beck, I have come to the following estimate:- Colonred plates, 3, Ordinary pletes, 12-15, Folding ingets to show the epeetrograms of some of the beads & other glass objects examined, say 3. Eeeh spectrogram is 13-14 inches long, & it would not be sestiefsetory to reåuce them to about half the size, which would enable them to go on one of your plates. There may be a few text figures, but nothing that will greatly increase the length of the text. With regarå to the latte! I simply cennot give you any certsin information. We can only suggest something between 6000 & 10000 words, & inform you that there may be two or three pages of tabuler matter. I hove khet I have written ie sufficient to enable you to ferm a ressonable estimate. One other matter. When I was in Stockholm frofeesor Andersson
