Dear Professor Pellliot, f 4 I have to thankrsyov mest heartily for the very great honor with which ou have favoured me by suggesting my name to The ”" Academie des Insceriptions et Belles Lettres" for the " Stan. Julien ög ör SE 4 received this honer through the mediation of the French Legation in Peking one of the last days of my stay out in the East, and yvour kind letter as well as the communication from the Academy head been forwarded from Peking . to Stockholm and were waiting me, when t arrived here some few days 2g0. I am now writing to the Acedemy expressing my most respectful thanks for the very unexpected honor given to me and I wish to UrlöR you, my dear Professor Pelliot, my most hearty tnanks, well knowing that it 18 due only to your very great kindness that my humble name has been mentiened in The French Academy, I am very happy to be back in Sweden from the turbulent state of things in the Far East.
