Straight sides sloping inwards, projecting foot and rim. Cast and incised. On body alternating plain and vegetal stripes in shape of chevrons, middle band forms lozenge shaped cartouches of vegetal decoration (arabesque medallion). Two parallel vegetal bands over foot. Towards rim, lower one vegetal scroll, upper one inscription. Loop attached to body just under flange.

Michell mentions that this shape seems to have been popular during a period of at least 50 years, during the reigns of Shah Tahmasp and shah Abbas I. He also mentions the presence of the loop on the side that seems to be characteristic for this type of candlestick but says that its purpose is not clear.
