Lejonmaskaron

Skulpturdel: vänster ytterkant av manen till en lejonmaskaron. Delen är snidad separat. I sin helhet är lejonmaskaronen rektangulär till formen och utförd i tre sektioner. Lejonet har stora, runda ögon under kraftiga ögonbrynsbågar. Nosen, som är platt och bred, är klart avgränsad från den rundade överkäken. Lejonets gap är vidöppet med breda, något insvängda tänder samt en bred tunga. Underkäken är försedd med två strutformade hårtofsar. Mankransen är i det närmaste jämnbred och kraftig.

Text in English: Part of a sculpture: the left outer part of the mane of a lion mask. The part is separately carved. The lion mask has I SIN HELHET a rectangular form and is made in three sections. The lion''s face has large round eyes with heavy eyebrows. The nose is flat and broad and clearly separated from the rounded upper jaws. The wide open jaws has two cone-shaped tufts of hair. The face is framed by a powerful mane of almost even width.
