Each consists of a hollow, cylindrical portion bent to form a nearly complete circle, and modelled as if made up of ten contigous spheres, which are separated one from the other by by a triple row of granules. At either end of the hoop thus formed are a double ring of granules and a plain disc carrying two loops. The ear-ring was permanently fastened to the ear by means of a curved pin, which is sheated in a gold tube and bent into a ring at either end. These rings engage between the loops at the ends of the hoop and are fastened to them, at one end by by the insertion of a small cylinder, the ends of which are hammered out, and at the other end by means of a small ribbon bent M-fashion, the ends of which were turned apart after insertion.
