Kärl för tillagning av sagokakor. "Sak Sak Cooking Utensil". Kärlet av lergods. Vänd! Om rätter gjorda med sago som ingrediens: M. Mead: The Mountain Arapesh. I. An importing culture. Fig. 11 ab, p. 199. ( Anthropological Papers of the American Museum of Natural History. Vol. 36, pt. 3 New York 1938.) P. 299: To prepare the more substantial dish (a thick jelly in the form of round cakes), which is called in pidgin English "turning sac-sac," the sago is crushed and mixed with a little cold water to form a paste. Boiling water is then poured over it, causing it to jell in a thick viscous mass. A small amount is then dexterously twisted about the stirring stick and placed on the serving platter. These small amounts, about two inches in diameter after they have settled, are distriibuted all over the platter.- Se också: O. Reche: Der Kaiserin-Augusta-Fluss. P. 199 (Abb. 168). Ergebnisse der Südsee Expedition 1908-1910. II. Ethnographie: A. Melanesien. Bd. 1. Hamburg 1913. (Se orginalkort för uppklistrade urklipp ur särtryck av Reches arbete) L.W. Bergstrand i brev av 26/11 1953: The "Sak Sak Cooking Utensil "... came from the Sepik District ... (katalogkort/originalbeskrivning)
