However, you must not blame us if we fale in this effort. You certainly know that the financial situstion 1s very hard the world over, and Sweden 1s no better than other parts of the world. Under all circumstances it is certainly a unique occasion to shew your valuable specimens to 500 prominent students of Art from all parts of the world. = As to your eight animel-style bronzes I can promise you, that they will all bejkept together in one case under the name of your firm. Thank you ever so much for your kind letter of the 6th inst. and for your very kind promise to grant us the very great favour of exhibiting your wonderful eight pleces of animal style bronzes. I have already reported your favourable reply to H. R. H. the Crown- Prince, and I send you herewith our sincerest thanks. The Crown-Prince is deeply interested in the twelve ceremonisal weapons described in your letter. It is most likely, that we will be very grateful to get them sent along with the other things. We are keenly waiting to see your promised photographs in order to form a definite opinion as to these fascinating objects. We understand that the earlier set of eight as well as this new set of twelve are quite remarkable and practically unique pieces. Under these circumstances we would very much prefer that you could come yourself or send your representative with the treasures. But in order to prepare for all events I write to our Consulate General in New York, asking them kindly to take care of such specimens as may be entrusted to them.
