There is a special reason why I have postponed TT to your last letters and I want here to explain my reason. are slowly proceeding with Palmgren”s big monograph, the publication of which you kindly authorized in your cable of September 15' ny an as well as in your letter or September 1l6th. However the progress of this work has of late been relatively slow and this for the follöing reason: Dr. Lagrelius will celebrate his 70-years anniversary this summer and he is now working to wind up all matters connectöd with his present office. In this connection he has asked me to call your attention to some small arrears on the payment of the Palaeontologia Sinica Konograpl the details of which you will find in an adjoined statement. Xr. Lagre. lius is in no way pressing for immediate payment of these sume, but he will very much appreciate some statement from you as to the way how these arrears may be covered.
