X 0287 a 4, Aubrey Road, Campden Hill, London, W.s8. Tel. Park 6233. 20th July, TIv93IG Dear Professor Andersson, Your letter of the 4th. June has remained so long unanswered because of delay experienced in finding back numbers of the Burlington Magazine, and obtaining photo- graphs of early Chinese objects in the British Museum. I am now sending the following back numbers of the Burlington Magazine. ”Jan. 1904; ”Nov. 1910; and June and Nov, I9I2. Under separate cover I am posting also 38 photographs of objects in the British Museum. Some of these are described in the Guide to the Pottery and Porcelain of the Far East (1922). You will note fet certain of the photographs-have the word Lolo marked on the back. This name denotes the objects collected in Ssä-ch'uan by the Lieut. Brookes who is mentioned on page 2 of the Guide. I very much hope that you will find these of use to you. The arrangements for obtaining photographs of objects in the recent Persian Exhibition seem to be in much eonfusion. I have not yet succeeded in getting those I want. : I ouite understand the difficulties in the way of sending me photographs of your mirrors. Of course I shall be very grateful to get them when it becomes possible to have them printed. In the Burlington Magazine next month you will see a brief article on" Chinese Contact with Luristan Bronzes.
