0613. 2nd April 1929 Spink & Son, Ltd. King Str. 5,6,7 St. James”s London SW 1. Dear Sir, Having just returned from a journey on the continent I have not been able until now to answer your kind letter of Marck 22nd, We are highly interested in the beautiful photographs öf some Sung-bronzes with which you have kindly favoured us. According to the rules for this institution only objects belonging to the Tang-period or earlier are to be included in these collections, so for this reason I am unable to consider your kind offer of these Sung-pieces, but will be glad to show the photographs to my colleges irlätne other Stockholm museums. It is rather superfluous to assure you that we will always remain grateful for any communication of new acqvisitions preferab- ly on earl$er Chinese dynasties. Yours very truly
