I have noted with much interest your opinion about the Chow Kou Tien deposit after having seen Zdanskys paper, Will you kindly allow me to quote this statement in my book as your preliminary opånion? In fact, I have been thinking myself long before about the possibility of a small difference in age between Sankan-ho and Chow Kou Tiens. I am looking forward with the keenest anticipation to receive your monograph on the Palaeolithic of China. May I mention thet I have undertaken to deliver in the course of thås autumn within this museum ten lectures on China before höstory, which also will be the title of my book. My first lecture October 2th will be on the Hipparion-fauna, the second October 9I9th will deal with the Chow Kou Tien deposit and October l6th I will speak on your discoveries of the Paleolfithic in the Ordos- desert, If I could have your book at that time, it would be of course an immense privilege, I send you today a very big parcel, containing some specimens selected by Professor Wiman out of the Chow Kou Tien material. I have not seen this specimens but hope they will offer some interest to you.
