WILLIAM ROCKHILL NELSON GALLERY OF ÅRT (The Willium Rockbill Nelson Teust) ATKINS MUSEUM OF FINE ÅRTS KANSAS CITY, 2, MISSOURI Cable Address; Neltrost 9 September 1948 Dr. Bernhard Karlgren Museum of Far Eastern AntiqUuities Stockholm, Sweden Dear Dr. Karlgren: It vas a great pleasure to hear from you after your return to Sweden and I hope that your trip in this country was pleasant in every way. I am deeply embarassed that you should have to bring to my attention the photographs destined for you. The truth is that I have been so occupied here this summer with Dr. Kim from Korea and Mr, Wang Shih- heiang from the Palace Museum that I have had little time for anything else. I am happy to say that the other photographs of the bronzes from the-Tuan Fang collection have nov been Added tö the group and all dispatched to you. There are a few more of the Tuan Fang pieces of which we do not now have photo-prints but these will be sent on to you later. Our Museuwn purchased the six pieces of early lacquer which you sav in Chicago. They cleaned up very well and; if you are interested in this meterial, we shall be glad to send you photogrephs of the group. It wes a great pleasure for me to see you and Mrs. Karlgren here, and I hope very much that I may one day have the pleasure of seeing you in Sweden. With all best regards and good wishes, Tely yourg Z Leurence Sickman Curator of Orientel Art
