Stockholm, October T7th, 1948. Professor Y.R. Chao, 17 University Library, Berkeley lj, Calif. U.S.A. Dear Friend, Best thanks for your letter a couple of weeks ago. Mr. Wu king-li 1s-very welcome to refer to me with the passport authorities. It will be a pleasure to meet him åf he comes to Sweden. - Your Mandarin Primer has not arrived yet, and I lock forward with keen interest to reading it. I wonder so how you advance with your kis-tsie scheme, based on the Kusng yin rimes. It seems to me a brilliant idea, 1f it can really be carried through. Kindest regards to Mrs.Chao and yourself from us both. Ever yours
