Goloubew, I have to thank sou most sincerely for your very kind letter of June 10, and for the wonderful news you brought me sbout securing the beautiful Dongson drum at such a cheap price. Our wuseum will always remsin deeply indebted to you for this wonderful contribution to our collections. Coedås has also written to me, telling that M. Mereier 18 going to pack and send the drum to us together with certain cera- mics which we obtain in return for the Han mortuary tiles. Imsediately after my return I had several conversations with our Crown Prince about your coming here. We have now decided that you will lecture in this museum Wednesday, Oktober 12, on: "Les bronzes de Dongson". Furthermore I have taken preliminary steps to arrange for you giving a lecture on: "The ruins of Ankor" in our Alliance frangaise, and I will soon be able to inform you more in detail. At the time of your visit here our collections will be invisible I am sorry to tell you. fe are going to frame in all gon cases for a big photographie exhibition, but perhaps you will stay so long that the photographic exhibition comes to an end, when we very quickly
